Marian Murphy the founder of Mikes Closet grew up in Newton, MA. Married right out of high school and the mother of two children. At the age of 28  she took in her sisters three children after her unexpected death. Marian raised them as her own and now has four grandchildren and one great grandson. A five time cancer survivor Marian has been through more than most people. When her son Mike was deployed in Afghanistan  Marian helped the families of other deployed soldiers volunteering for the family readiness program. Like other mothers her son came home with the scars of war. Substance abuse followed over many years. Mikes untimely death from detoxing in 6/24 was the motivation of this business.
